This is the last part of your course project. There are two parts to this assignment.

 

Part 1:

In a 2-3 pages answer the following:

• What was the outcome of the mergers?
• Did the mergers work or fail? How do you know this?
• What is the current status of the merged company?
• As a Human Resource Manager, what do you think worked well for the merger?
• What do you feel are some areas that can be improved for future changes within the organization?

Part 2: 

It is now time to combine all of the pieces you have into one complete word document, including part 1 above. You should review prior submissions for feedback from your faculty member.

Your final assignment should include at least 8 pages, include at least 3 resources, and be proofread for correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Be sure to cite your sources per APA formatting.

Review the Project Management email. 

Write an email response in which you address the following points:

• Determine which project might be implemented and why (e.g. feasibility study, breakeven analysis, etc).
• Describe the five phases of a project
• Describe the key deliverables associated with the selected project(s).

This paper should still have a cover page, reference page, and be formatted per APA standards; however, you can use whatever tone, format and language in the body of your paper that you feel would be appropriate for a formal email response.  Introductions, transitions and conclusions only need to be included if they would be in your return email.

• Present a revised argument in standard form, with each premise and the conclusion on a separate line.

As research and business requirements change, operating systems evolve to solve problems unique to those environments. Linus Torvalds developed Linux because he was not satisfied with Tanenbaum’s MINIX. David Cutler developed Windows NT to function much like VMS while Bill Gates had aspirations for NT to replace Unix. These business, personal, and academic influences have all impacted the current operating system landscape.

Using your textbook, credible sources, and your own professional or student experiences, respond to the following:

• Outline the major influences that led to the development of the modern operating system of your choice. You may select any desktop or mobile operating system you like such as Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, Android, or iOS.

• Identify a trend that could influence the development of future operating systems. Be sure to clarify if the trend impacts desktop, servers, or mobile operating systems.
