Individually, read the other group’s scenario and diagnose the behavioral styles of the characters.  Use the Confrontation Resolution Tree to walk through the scenario and help you define the characters.  In a written paper, state your diagnosis of the behavioral styles of the characters and justify it with references to the scenario and Confrontation Resolution Tree.  Include a personal reflection section in your paper, in which you consider your own behavioral style.  How do you relate to the employee/customer?  What is your strategy for trying to relate to employees/customers?

Research Paper: Final Submission

 

Select two historical leaders. One who was known for making a positive contribution in a leadership role, and the other who made a negative contribution in a leadership role (one good leader and one bad leader).

1. Each leader must be, or have been a business or world leader (each leader) from 1960 or later.
2. Provide three separate reasons (with referenced examples) to justify the reason they were a good, or bad leader.
3. Identify, compare, and contrast the two different leadership styles of each one.
4. The research paper must be 6-8 pages of written text (not including the cover page and reference page), roughly 1500-2000 words.
5. You must include at least three outside references for each leader, for a total of six references (minimum) for the research paper. The text may be used as a reference but it will not count toward the six required sources.

Paper 1 is a strong response essay.  Choose one of the short stories we read in class that you enjoyed.  Write an introduction that get my attention, explains which story you chose, and discusses the theme of the story and why that is important. Your thesis sentence should be your overall, personal opinion of why you think the story is good.  In the body discuss in detail why you believe the story is good, using quotes from the story.  Write a conclusion that recaps your thesis and important body points and leaves me thinking.  Make sure quotes are MLA format.  DO NOT SUMMARIZE the story. Paper should be 4 pages typed and double spaced.  You do not need a title page or works cited page.  Please format the paper in MLA. The paper will be graded on unity, coherency, cohesion, grammar, and depth of content.
