The legend and months should display if columns and rows are properly selected.

Excel Assignment 2

This week you will continue to work with the scenario from last week (although don’t worry if you were not able to do the calculations within the spreadsheet).  The owner thinks it will be easier to look at sales and profits if charts are used.  The owner also wants to identify the products which were not creating as much revenue as the others.

  1. Use your spreadsheet from last week.  If you did not calculate the profits in column E within the spreadsheet, fill in that column now in any way that you want (although no two numbers should be the same or widely different, like 1 and 100).  The important thing is to have some numbers in that column for monthly profits.
  2. Look at the range of numbers you have for monthly sales of each product.  These are the numbers in rows 3 to 5 and in columns B to D.  Pick a number somewhere in the middle or slightly lower.  For instance, if I have a range of numbers scattered between 10 and 100, I might choose the number 40.  Using the conditional formatting feature, highlight in red the sales figures which are less than the number you chose (less than 40, for instance).
  3. Create a bar graph of the monthly sales based on product.
  4. The months should display along with a legend of the three products.
  5. Give the chart a title of Monthly Sales.
  6. Give the y-axis a title of Sales in $.
  7. Create a pie chart of the monthly profit.
  8. Give the chart a title of Monthly Profit.
  9. See if you can get the legend to display the months.  (Hint:  You can select one column, hold the shift key down, and then select another column in order to select two different columns.)
  10. Create a line chart of monthly sales.
  11. Give the chart a title of Monthly Sales.
  12. Give the y-axis a title of Sales in $.
  13. The legend and months should display if columns and rows are properly selected.

The charts should look something like the ones below.  The actual charts, of course, will depend on your spreadsheet numbers.

Save your spreadsheet with the filename LastNameWeek7 and upload it in the assignment area.

Assignment 4: Recognizing Employee Contributions

Due Week 10 and worth 300 points

You are the HR manager of a relatively new retail company that has both retail stores and Internet sales.  Your company is steadily growing in revenue and profitability. The company realizes that in order to retain the solid, highly productive workforce it currently has in place, it is important to enhance the base compensation and benefits package offered to the employees. The company currently offers a basic compensation program and only federally mandated benefits. Employee surveys suggest the compensation and benefits program may be out of date. Employees are beginning to consider leaving the organization.

Write a six to eight (6-8) page paper in which you:

  1. Propose two (2) methods an HR professional could use to determine incentive pay. Specify the principal manner in which the proposed methods take into consideration individual, group, and company performance. Justify your response.
  2. Examine the core legal requirements affecting employee benefits in today’s competitive environment. Determine the legally mandated benefits that the company must currently offer to its employees.
  3. Recommend at least four (4) additional benefits that the organization should consider providing to its employees. Suggest at least three (3) important concepts that a company must consider when designing benefit plans. Provide a rationale for your response.
  4. Assess the efficiency of common techniques for effectively communicating compensation and benefit plans to employees. Support your answer.
  5. Suggest two (2) ethical risks of making incentive pay a large portion of employees’ total compensation. Propose two (2) recommendations for ways the company might mitigate or reduce these risks.
  6. Use at least four (4) quality academic (peer-reviewed) resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
  • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

  • Examine the influences on and various approaches to compensation.
  • Analyze issues related to developing and implementing employee benefit packages.
  • Apply relevant theories and knowledge to human resource practices in organizations.
  • Use technology and information resources to research issues in human resource management foundations.
  • Write clearly and concisely about human resource management foundations using proper writing

How do you handle stress? (generic question, meaning it could be asked in virtually ANY interview)

this is due Saturday by 6pm and no borrowed material from online so means no plagiarism, must read all instructions on the attachments i attached.

Tinnitus reports will be monitored and there is NO borrowed material permitted on this assignment. If you get anything besides a zero (0%) on your TII, be sure to open the originality report and make sure it is just the template that is “hitting” on the TII report.

How do you handle stress? (generic question, meaning it could be asked in virtually ANY interview)

Here is how we could make this question KSA-based:

There are tight deadlines associated with this position. How do you prioritize your work, meet those deadlines, and also keep your stress in check?

The objective of this is to simulate and evaluate different memory allocation/deal location techniques.

Memory Allocation and Deallocation

The objective of this is to simulate and evaluate different memory allocation/deallocation techniques (first fit, next fit, best fit, and worst fit)when a linked list is used to keep track of memory usage. You will implement a separate Memory component for TWO of the four memory allocation/deallocation techniques. Each technique should be in SEPERATE Project Files, 1 for each technique.

IF possible, I would like it to be able to run in eclipse, if not, just specify what you used to run it.

I have a skeleton that is to be used to complete this, will be attached.

I am looking for a someone who has experience in programming (Java, C++, Assembly Language and so on)

This is not a writing assignment, this is a programming assignment and I am looking for someone confident and who has experience behind this subject. ____________________________________________________________

Assume that the memory is 256 KB and is divided into units of 2 KB each. A process may request between 3 and 10 units of memory. Your simulation consists of three components: a Memory component that implements a specific allocation/deallocation technique, a request generation component that generates allocation/deallocation requests, and a statistics reporting component that prints out the relevant statistics. The Memory component exports the following functions:

int allocate_mem(int process_id, int num_units): allocates num_units units of memory to a process whose id is process_id. If successful, it returns the number of nodes traversed in the linked list. Otherwise, it returns -1. int deallocate_mem(int process_id): deal locates the memory allocated to the process whose ID is process_id. It returns 1, if successful, otherwise “1. int fragment_count( ): returns the number of holes (fragments of sizes 1 or 2 units).

The request generation component generates allocation and deal location requests. For allocation requests, the component specifies the process ID of the process for which memory is requested as well as the number of memory units being requested. For this simulation, assume that memory is requested for each process only once. For deal location requests, the component specifies the process ID of the process whose memory has to be deal located. For this simulation, assume that the entire memory allocated to a process is deal located on a deal location request. You may generate these requests based on some specific criteria, e.g., at random or from a memory allocation/deal location trace obtained from some source.

There are three performance parameters that your simulation should calculate for the chosen two techniques: average number of external fragments, average allocation time in terms of the average number of nodes traversed in allocation, and the percentage of times an allocation request is denied.

Generate 10,000 requests using the request generation component, and for each request, invoke the appropriate function of the Memory component for each of the memory allocation/deallocation techniques. After every request, update the three performance parameters for each of the techniques. The

◦What are 2–3 relationships between the economic concern you selected and that specific country’s economy?

As an employee of the World Bank, you have been asked to research 1 economic concern in a South American country and write a report on your findings. •Select a South American country to research. •Select 1 of the following economic concerns to research: ◦Quantities of specific goods and services ◦Gross Domestic Product (GDP) ◦Unemployment ◦Inflation •Research data sets for the one economic concern within the South American country that you have chosen. •In a 3–4-page report, answer the following questions: ◦What are 2–3 relationships between the economic concern you selected and that specific country’s economy? ◦What trends do you see in the data sets? ◦Support your assertions of the trends with statistical evidence. ◦Cite all of your sources correctly and include a reference list, both in APA style.

Analyze the potential impact of this plan from the side of the NGO and the individuals in the country, using ethnocentrism as related to the deficit and difference models and culture conflict related to gender socialization (gender roles, gender stereotypes, sex-role ideology).

From the instructor: A Western-based non-governmental organization (NGO – Non-governmental Organization) (e.g., Amnesty International, UNICEF, Doctors without Borders, Green Peace) plans to sponsor a large campaign aimed at increasing the number of women in the workforce of a traditional (gender-conservative) developing country, citing world opinion that women are often treated as “second class citizens” in this country. Although there has been limited impetus or support for this campaign generated by the individuals of the country itself (both male and female), the NGO still plans to implement the campaign. Analyze the potential impact of this plan from the side of the NGO and the individuals in the country, using ethnocentrism as related to the deficit and difference models and culture conflict related to gender socialization (gender roles, gender stereotypes, sex-role ideology). Remember to include some discussion from both the side of the NGO and the individuals within the country, those for and against (remember, ethnocentrism can work both ways!) Side Note: For this essay we are expected to clearly tie in course themes and concepts using our power point notes from class. I have sent them in the attachments below! Also we are not expected to have a work cited page, only to cite the resources in our paper if we have any.
