Job Analysis and Compensation

Before determining the compensation associated with work, the human resources professional works with the line managers to define the work. This is the job analysis and development of the job description.

Primary Task Response: Within the Discussion Board area, write 400–600 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas:

• Discuss how the process moves from job analysis, to developing the job description, and finally to setting compensation for the work.
