Compare your summary results from #1 and #2. Discuss any specific statistical results that would help a real estate agent understand the condominium market.

For Master Tutor2011

Option 1 – Gulf Real Estate Properties

Gulf Real Estate Properties, Inc. is a real estate firm located in southwest Florida. The company, which advertises itself as an “expert in the real estate market,” monitors condominium sales by collecting data on location, list price, sale price, and the number of days it takes to sell each unit. Each condominium is classified as Gulf View if it is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, or No Gulf View if it is located on the bay or a golf course (near but not on the Gulf). Sample data from the Multiple Listing Service in Naples, Florida, provided sales data for 40 Gulf View condominiums and 18 No Gulf View condominiums. The complete data set is in the file named Real Estate, linked at the bottom of the page.

Managerial Report

Prepare a report (see below) that summarizes your assessment of the nature of the housing market in southwest Florida. Be sure to include the following seven (7) items in your report.

  1. Descriptive statistics (mean, median, range, and standard deviation) to summarize each of the three variables for the 40 Gulf View condominiums. Are there any outliers in the data set for any of the three variables? If there are any outliers in any category, please list them and state for which category they are an outlier. Describe which method you used to make your determination.
  2. Descriptive statistics (mean, median, range, and standard deviation) to summarize each of the three variables for the 18 No Gulf View condominiums. Are there any outliers in the data set for any of the three variables? If there are any outliers in any category, please list them and state for which category they are an outlier. Describe which method you used to make your determination.
  3. Compare your summary results from #1 and #2. Discuss any specific statistical results that would help a real estate agent understand the condominium market.
  4. Develop a 95% confidence interval estimate of the population mean sales price and population mean number of days to sell for Gulf View condominiums. Interpret your results.
  5. Develop a 95% confidence interval estimate of the population mean sales price and population mean number of days to sell for No Gulf View condominiums. Interpret your results.
  6. Assume the branch manager requested estimates of the mean selling price of Gulf View condominiums with a margin of error of $40,000 and the mean selling price of No Gulf View condominiums with a margin of error of $15,000. Using 95% confidence, how large should the sample sizes be for each?
  7. Gulf Real Estate Properties just signed contracts for two new listings: a Gulf View condominium with a list price of $589,000 and a No Gulf View condominium with a list price of $285,000. What is your estimate of the final selling price (based on the percent difference for the sale and list price) and number of days required to sell each of these units?

Women in Saudi Arabia

INTRODUCTION

“I haven’t been able to take my breath…We’re so excited. We believe it’s the response to our demands, the first step in our long struggle to get our rights” claimed Hatoon Al Faasi, a university professor and women’s rights activist in Saudi Arabia when the women’s right to vote was proclaimed. Nowadays, humanity is facing universal problems, such as terrorist attacks, environmental degradation, global warming; and certainly, the concept of human rights is being left forgotten. In this paper I plan to address the reasons why I believe women in Saudi Arabia should be able to pursue their universal human rights, even though their religion promotes a distinct perspective. In order to support this argument, I will provide a cultural background, the positive and negative impact of different factors, such as culture, globalization, education, followed by my analysis and recommendations for further points of discussion.

Compose a message for new hires using the three-step process outlined in Ch. 5 of Business Communication.

Step 1: Prewriting

Review the AIM planning process in Ch. 5 of Business Communication including the “Chapter Takeaway for Creating Effective Messages.

Analyze the situation described above by answering each of the following questions with 1 to 2 paragraphs:

  1. Review the assignment directions above. What is the purpose of the message the HR employee is tasked to write?

  1. Who is the audience?  What do they already know?

  1. Which communication channel(s) would you choose to deliver the message and why?

  1. What writing strategies can you use in your writing of the message?

Step 2: Drafting

Research your company’s background to know about the culture, processes, and procedures within the organization you selected.

Write a rough draft of the message below using the analysis you did in Step 1. Make sure your message is appropriate for the purpose and audience (e.g., new hires). Use an outline to help organize your thoughts.

Refer to Ch. 5 of Business Communication for strategies of researching background information and effective writing.

Step 3a: Revising

Copy and paste the message you drafted in Step 2 below. Proofread and edit the message using the “Track Changes” feature under the “Review” tab to show you are actively engaged in proofreading and revision.

Review Ch. 5 of Business Communication  to learn more about revising messages before you start. Use the following questions as guidance when you proofread the message.

  1. Does the message establish the credibility? Is there some supporting research you may use to deepen the credibility?
  2. Is the message clear? Can your audience read the message without many questions?
  3. Is the message concise? Have you eliminated unnecessary verbiage in the message?
  4. Is the message easy to read? Have you used headings or bulleted lists to increase the clarity of your message?

Step 3b: Final Message for Submission

Provide the final copy of your message here.

Save the document and submit it as your assignment.

Explain what might be the reason(s) they do this?

Managerial accounting case study

In this module you will have an opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of cost, volume, profit, and their application in the aviation industry. For this Case Study complete the four requirements below:

    1. ABC Passenger Service Airlines has determined the breakeven point, both in dollars and passengers, necessary to breakeven. Explain how an increase or decrease of passengers from the breakeven point would affect the profit or loss of the firm.
    2. You are a management analyst for XYZ aircraft manufacturing company. Your company currently manufactures and sells four different types of aircraft. Historically, each aircraft type constitutes 25% of the total revenue. For each aircraft type the unit contribution margin, expressed as a per cent of sales, is different. If this year the sales mix is different than the historical average, explain what affect this would have on the breakeven point?
    3. Two companies have the same fixed expenses, unit variable expense, and profits. However, one company sells its products for a lower price. Explain what might be the reason(s) they do this?
    4. Refer to Problem 7-42 at the end of Chapter 7. Build or use an existing Excel Spreadsheet and complete requirements 1 and 3. The spreadsheet must accompany the submission.

For this case study, you will demonstrate your ability to correctly calculate the problem and demonstrate creative thinking by analyzing the case and answering the questions that are intended to interpret the data.

How has the status on women changed in the post 1945 world?

TWO 3-Page History Papers

Looking for two well written papers on the following. Must be MLA formated with Works Cited, double spaced, 12 pt font

Paper 1: How has the status on women changed in the post 1945 world? You may discuss individual countries or regions. You might want to consider how economic circumstances, government policy or cultural, religious trends have affected the status of women.

Paper 2: How has globalization been good or bad for the post 1945 (and you may want to begin in the 1980’s) world?  It would probably be better to discuss only briefly the general pros and cons, and focus more on a few selected areas or countries.

Does globalization cause inequality, instability, unemployment, cultural homogenization, and environmental degradation, or is it an engine of prosperity, wealth, and general human advancement for the vast majority of the world’s peoples?

pol-3

For its advocates, globalization has been lauded for increasing economic opportunities and individual freedom and empowerment.  And yet, many people, both in the rich and poor worlds, view it as an oppressive force and a direct threat to their freedom.

Hence, does globalization cause inequality, instability, unemployment, cultural homogenization, and environmental degradation, or is it an engine of prosperity, wealth, and general human advancement for the vast majority of the world’s peoples?
