You have been asked to produce an individual essay on the following topic:

The importance of transport, logistics and supply chain management to global organisations has taken on greater prominence in recent years and yet these organisations struggle to recruit appropriately qualified and experienced personnel. What personal and transferable skills should a transport/logistics/SCM graduate possess to support these organizations and their activities?

1. Think hard about the essay title. What does it mean? What information is required?

Prepare an Essay Plan and ensure that you have developed an appropriate structure for the essay. Place your Essay Plan in your Portfolio. If necessary, discuss your essay plan with your tutor. Word Process the Essay

Assignment Criteria

The assignment will be assessed according to the range of criteria discussed in the Lecture/Workshop and Tutorials. In particular, you should focus upon the following:

• Analysis, Evaluation

Students are required to prepare a brief ethnographic study of a culture group and one particular cultural aspect of that group. Students are expected to discuss ethnographic details of the culture group, including:

Geographic distribution
Economic/mode of livelihood of the culture group
Demographics
Religious and/or belief systems represented
Language (s) spoken
After presenting a general cultural overview, you should chose one aspect of the culture group to discuss and analyze in more detail. Topics will vary, and you should use your textbook and lecture/discussions as your guide.
In addition to the written ethnography, a presentation will be given in class.

Students are expected to consult at least 5 primary or secondary academic sources when preparing their presentation (your text books do not count as legitimate sources for this assignment). Please note, electronic resources are fine to use. However, they should represent electronic versions of academic journals and/or periodicals. The bibliography should be included. Citation style should follow APA format please.

The case of Emily Fox Gordon tells us a lot about psychological disorders. They can strike anyone, they can lead to dangerous or frightening situations, they can lead people to feel isolated and alone, but in some instances they can be overcome. Some of Emily’s behaviors, such as attempting suicide or attacking a classmate, clearly reflect a disturbed mind. Other behaviors, such as going into a rage or being promiscuous, are maladaptive but they don’t necessarily reflect a psychological disorder.

What separates a person who has a psychological disorder from one who doesn’t? Do you think a clear distinction can be made, why or why not?

A person with a psychological disorder is generally lonely, antisocial, misbehaved, defiant, not happy with self and disturbed. On the contrary, a person with a sound mental/physical health always remains happy with a positive attitude towards life, likes to be around friends and knows how to cope with stresses of life. Like any other disease, people with a psychological disorder need “Therapy” to battle with problems of day to day living. Their undesirable activities influence their health for the worse. Their personality and lifestyle have negative impact on their behavior. They show symptoms of depression, anxiety or become alcoholic. Therapy is certainly the answer for healing these disturbed minds and emotional outbreaks.

Well, occasional outbursts or a temporary change in behavioral/emotional attitude is common among everyone. These can be triumphed over easily. But if it continues for a longer period which harms self or others leading to perilous situations, then it definitely can be categorized into a disorder requiring Therapy. Therapy helps improve personal routines, feelings and actions which are challenging and enables to make lifestyle changes to augment personal well being. Therapists, with their affection and understanding, create the “Will” in such people to believe in themselves. They help them recover by discovering themselves and leading a positive, healthy life. Knowing yourself and the good/bad habits of those around you can help you bear the tough times.

Biological, psychological and social factors play a very important role in our behavior. Therefore, according to me, clear symptoms are seen in a person with a psychological disorder which distinguishes him/her from the one who doesn’t.

1. The unmasking and subsequent killing of the egwugwu in Things Fall Apart is generally interpreted as foreshadowing of Okonkwo�s inevitable fall. But the theme of spiritual and ancestral presences is inherent throughout both Things and The Epic of Sundiata. For this essay, address the West African belief of spirits and predestination as we have discussed them. What important roles do these beliefs play in shaping the destinies of both Okonkwo and Sundiata?

2. In The Epic of Sundiata, Sundiata�s ultimate strength � both of character and physical � is attributed to the strong character of his mother, Sogolon; Sogolon suffered for her son and was rewarded with a son who was strong, noble, and just. In contrast, the main character in Thing�s Fall Apart sees himself as self-made and credits his successes as a rejection of his �lazy and improvident� father, a rejection that has a strong impact on how he treats his own son. Discuss this notion of patronage in both The Epic of Sundiata and Things Fall Apart. How do each of the main characters� personalities develop within these parental relationships (both as child and as father)? How does their youth inform their behavior as adults and what might this theme teach us about West African cultural values?

3. The Epic of Sundiata is an epic poem dating back to the fourteenth century and is based in the oral literary tradition of the griots. In contrast, Things Fall Apart is a twentieth-century narrative, written and published as a book from its conception. Address the notion of African literature, as we have discussed it. How does each narrative�s literary format � oral versus written � inform our understanding or appreciation of it? How do these two West African literary examples draw upon the traditions of story-telling as a recurring theme within their narratives? Pay special attention to the use of proverbs, and mention of folk tales and histories in each story

Using the communications policy developed from Part 1 that mapped the type of communications messages for a specific audience at a company. In this assignment, you will go a step further and create a communications plan for your selected company.

For the same company you selected in Part 1 create a complete Communications Plan for key stakeholder group(s). The Communications Plan should focus on a specific project or initiative to be implemented or event to be managed. The plan should describe the specific project to be implemented including the business problem or purpose, the specific objectives of the project, and the key stakeholder groups and their role in the initiative.

The Communications Plan for this initiative should include the following:
